We discuss how the contemporary school contributes to the student's personal development, his or her abilities for expression and individual development. What is the scope of the school curriculum today? What is the task of the school education? Is it exhausted by simply acquiring knowledge? Is the school environment sensitive to the student's experiences and accumulation of social skills? What kind of legislation changes await the school and is the school ready for them? We look for answers to these and other questions taking notice from our one-year group experiential work through artistic means in ten Sofia schools. Experience shows that this kind of work improves communication, expression and relation to others, ability to understand and accept yourself and the others, to better deal with school duties and challenges of life.
